Chelsea vs. Arsenal: Preview, Confirmed XI
After last season’s 5-0 stumping at the Emirates, Chelsea have a rare chance at getting back at Arsenal as the Gunners come visiting Stamford Bridge.
With hostilities set to be renewed, the Blue half of London have their goals cut out for them; revenge and glory. For Arsenal, it is more about covering the gap that separates them from the top 4 spots in the league table as rivals Liverpool now top the Premier League with 5-points clear of Manchester City and 10-points clear of Arsenal.
The Blue boys of Chelsea despite starting the season in better form than they did last campaign, currently hold no title ambitions this season as they prefer taking things game by game, a mentality that should scare Arsenal.

There is currently no pressure on the West Londoners to prove anything in the premier league, as confirmed by new Head Coach, Enzo Maresca, with a top 4 finish a satisfying end for Chelsea, which for Arsenal would be underwhelming.
Thus, the Gunners not only have the pressure and expectation of building a title challenge on them, but the narratives that would come with not getting all 3-points against a Chelsea side coming of an 8-0 win in mid-week.
Arsenal are on a 2-game winless run since their 3-0 defeat of Preston North End in the Carabao Cup, with 2 1-0 losses to Inter Milan and Newcastle United coming in the build-up to a London derby that has pride and glory on the line.
On the injury front, the Gunners could see themselves be without key figure; Declan Rice and Mikel Merino in midfield, with the return of Martin Odegaard a possibility. For the Blues, squad depth is only an area of strength that keeps strengthening.
With all to play for, Chelsea and Arsenal have it on them to leave fans excited for what comes next after the international break.
