Chelsea to tie down its best players with 7 year Contracts

A new Chelsea era very much different from the Roman Abramovich era is dawning and new owner, Todd Boehly wants to pioneer that by ensuring continuity.

The American billionaire in so doing wants to take on a US style blue print towards contract negotiations with their young prospects by offering a 7 year deal as opposed to the 5 year long term contracts generally offered by clubs.

The first players to be recipients to this negotiation according to reports would be Mason Mount and Reece James, alongside any upcoming and exciting young prospect.

Amando Broja who has become the top target for Newcastle and West Ham is said to be on the list to be offered such contract, along with reports that the Blues have agreed a £17million deal for 19 year old Inter Milan midfielder Cesare Casadei.

The 7 year contract deal being proposed by Todd Boehly sees the reshape of the modern football era in terms of contract negotiations as the owner wants a long term investment in his best players.

Getting a player like Amando Broja to agree to such deals when he is not established as a regular could be quite the conundrum but if the Billionaire is able to pull it off, it becomes very much the smart business should Broja turn into an elite star in the future.

The Albanian already showed what he was capable of playing on loan at Southampton last season, and should he continue on that consistency, he is not far from developing into an elite striker.

Recent signing, Carney Chukwuemeka from Aston Villa, aged 18 and Marc Cucurella from Brighton aged 24 recently signed 6 year deals with the club, which makes deals worth 7 years not too farfetched at this stage,
