There is no mercy in football and certainly Chelsea isn’t ready to show any sentiments to Thomas Tuchel.
Chelsea football club for some reason isn’t built like other clubs, and it is very evident in how the club treats its managers after encountering difficult starts to a season.
Even though the German has brought the club success in recent times with Champions League triumph together with a couple of trophies, the Blues has turned a blind eye and let Thomas Tuchel go.
The news comes after Tuesday’s defeat to Dynamo Zagreb in the Champions League and is in response to the sluggish start by the West London club in the Premier League season.
The 49 year old manager is stripped of his duties at the club after having spent 20 months in charge and boasting a positive record in stats compared to prior Chelsea manager.
Thomas Tuchel becomes the 3rd Chelsea staff that has now being sacked by the new ownership of Todd Boehly.
Releasing a club statement, the board addressed in quote:
“As the new ownership group reaches 100 days since taking over the Club, and as it continues its hard work to take the club forward, the new owners believe it is the right time to make this transition,
“On behalf of everyone at Chelsea FC, the club would like to place on record its gratitude to Thomas and his staff for all their efforts during their time with the club. Thomas will rightly have a place in Chelsea’s history after winning the Champions League, the Super Cup and Club World Cup in his time here.”
Boasting of a 62 game wins with 19 draws and 18 defeats, Thomas Tuchel sees a positive career come to an abrupt end after suffering 3 losses to the start of the 2022/23 season.
Again, Chelsea continues the ruthlessness associated with the Roman Abrahamovic era.
