Chelsea relegates Romelu Lukaku to the academy set up

Romelu Lukaku might be in for a long season at Chelsea, following the club’s decision to relegate their multi-million pound striker to the Under 21s.

Since the start of the season, the Belgian has not lined up for Maurico Pochettino’s side, and it is now being reported that Romelu Lukaku is yet to hold a single conversation with the manager.

The Blues are believed to be desperate about moving on the former Inter Milan star from West London, despite the transfer moves stalling.

The former Everton man is believed to have agreed personal terms with Juventus, however Chelsea are yet to agree a deal with the Italian giants, with Juventus hopefully of striking a deal with Chelsea that sees Dusan Vlahovic moving to West-London.

Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly against the move that sees Vlahovic at Stamford Bridge for a cut price fee on Lukaku.

The Belgian as reported earlier in the summer window, has rejected advances from Saudi clubs, with Inter Milan also moving their interest off their former star.

According to the report by the Telegraph, the Belgian is now faced with training with the Chelsea youth set up as the move away from Stamford Bridge stalls.

Chelsea are currently without a senior striker to represent the club, with Romelu Lukaku the only senior striker in the team at present.

Mauricio Pochettino has already hinted in his previous press conference that the situation between the Belgian and Chelsea is beyond his management as he states both parties want different things.
