Chelsea not Ready to play games with Barcelona

Chelsea vs. Barcelona has turned into quite the fixture this summer in reference to how antagonist their transfer business this season has been against each other.

The West London side entered the transfer summer with a number of targets specifically that manager, Thomas Tuchel had foresights to signing for the Blues.

But Barcelona, even with their disastrous financial situation had other plans to thwart whatever moves the London club made in nabbing their targets.

It started with Chelsea having an eye to sign Ousmane Dembele who earlier on was playing back and forth with Barcelona over contract talks, but with reports that the Frenchman was being targeted, the Catalans hastened moves and had the Frenchman extend his stay at the club.

Then it went to former Leeds United player, Raphinha, who earlier in the window had eyes from all angles specifically in England with Arsenal and again Chelsea.

Raphinha was playing the long game with Arsenal as he wanted instead to taste Champions League football, this being something Chelsea could offer, made the Blues rush in to hijack the deal.

Leeds United were very happy to do business with Chelsea quite alright, but again, Raphina playing the long game, allowed Barcelona into the deal to hijack it right from under Chelsea’s noses.

The transfer-clasico somehow continued with Jules Kounde again, whom Chelsea and Thomas Tuchel had much interests in signing, but like it was before, Barcelona came into the picture from out of nowhere to hijack the deal.

All these stories raining on, the Catalans still held eyes on Chelsea captain, Cesar Azpilicueta not until Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel had to react angrily in a press conference before the Spaniard could change his stance and remain with the Blues.

But that does not look to be the end of the game between the two clubs as Chelsea in a reverse move, now has eyes towards signing a Barcelona player in Pierre Emerick Aubameyang from the Catalans.

Personal terms are reported to have already being agreed upon with Aubameyang, but Barcelona playing the cunning game again, want the Blues to pay huge money for the former Arsenal player before letting him go.

Barcelona reportedly want €30m to close the deal, in which Chelsea is not ready to pay as they would rather have the player at €15m according to Italian journalist, Fabrizio Romano.

“Chelsea have almost agreed personal terms with Pierre Aubameyang in the last 24h, but have no intention to pay crazy money to Barcelona. No way to close deal for €30m. 🚨🔵 #CFC

“Chelsea want to invest around £15m – otherwise they could walk away from the deal. Work in progress.” He wrote about the deal.
