Chelsea not ready to give up on Osimhen

Chelsea FC continues to express strong interest in acquiring Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, as reported by Caught Offside. The Blues are eager to bring the prolific Napoli forward to Stamford Bridge during the summer transfer window.

Osimhen, who is considered one of the most lethal strikers in world football, has attracted significant attention this summer. However, Napoli’s hefty €130 million release clause may pose a significant obstacle to any potential deal.

At 24, Osimhen’s impressive goal-scoring prowess has caught the eye of Chelsea, who are in the market for a new striker to bolster their attack and propel them back to the top of the Premier League standings.

The club’s current options have underperformed, with Nicolas Jackson failing to meet expectations last season and Romelu Lukaku spending the 2023-24 campaign on loan with AS Roma. Lukaku is no longer in Chelsea’s plans moving forward.

Despite recent speculation, Caught Offside confirms that Arsenal are not actively pursuing Osimhen. Meanwhile, Osimhen and Napoli have reached an agreement allowing him to leave the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium this summer.

Interestingly, Napoli has shown interest in Romelu Lukaku as a potential replacement for Osimhen. This development could work in Chelsea’s favor, potentially facilitating a deal for the sought-after striker. As the summer transfer window progresses, Chelsea’s pursuit of Osimhen remains a key storyline to watch.
