Chelsea made a mistake letting him go -- Rio Ferdinand

Former Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has criticized Chelsea for letting go of academy product, Jamal Musiala who has grown into a different specimen in the Bundesliga.

The ex-Red Devils defender drew comparison between the Bayern Munich star, with former AC Milan’s iconic midfielder, Kaka.

Ferdinand’s comments came during an interview with Rising Ballers, where he expressed his astonishment over Chelsea’s decision to let Musiala depart the club in 2019.

“I watched Musiala live in Munich yesterday; this guy is on a different planet. His ceiling, and Jude Bellingham’s ceiling, ain’t far off. How England let him go, how Chelsea let him go, I don’t know.

“This kid is a mad talent. He reminds me of Kaka… he seems like he is even silkier. He is the closest thing to Kaka I have seen,” Ferdinand remarked.

Jamal Musiala, aged 20, has rapidly risen to prominence as one of the hottest prospects in world football.

His contributions have been pivotal in Bayern Munich’s success, including clinching ten trophies, notably a UEFA Champions League title and four Bundesliga championships.
