Todd Boehly Sacks 2 Chelsea Staff

For Chelsea fans awaiting the fast exit of new manager, Graham Potter from the club, they may have to wait a while as the victory against Leeds United buys the Englishman more time as Todd Boehly’s statement on the former Brighton manager is confirmed after the Leeds game.

Chelsea co-owner, Todd Boehly, gave a brief response after Chelsea’s narrow 1-0 win over Leeds United on Saturday at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League. Wesley Fofana headed in the only goal of the match as the Blues edged past the relegation-threatened side.

After the match, Boehly was asked if he enjoyed the game and he gave a blunt response to the media. He simply remarked, “it’s a result,” before smiling. The Chelsea co-owner’s remark suggests that while he may not have been fully impressed with the team’s display, he was pleased with the outcome of the match.

The win against Leeds is Chelsea’s first in eight games and only the second in 12 in all competitions under manager Graham Potter. The team managed to keep Leeds at bay, allowing them to register just three shots on target throughout the game.

Potter has lost as many games as he has won (10) during his 27 games at the club since replacing former manager Thomas Tuchel.

While the win against Leeds may not have been the most dominant, it could serve as a boost to Chelsea’s confidence as they look to finish the season strong in both the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League.

All interests turn over to the Champions League fixture between Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea to see how much time Graham Potter has bought with the win over Leeds United.
