Check out CAF's 2024 Awards Nominees List

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has just unveiled the much-anticipated list of nominees for the 2024 awards, promising a night of celebration and surprises on December 16 in Marrakech, Morocco.

This year’s lineup brings familiar legends and breakout stars into the spotlight, showcasing the best of African football from January to October 2024.

South African star Ronwen Williams, already a goalkeeper phenomenon, has earned nods across three categories: Player of the Year, Goalkeeper of the Year, and Interclub Player of the Year. As for coaches, Al Ahly’s Marcel Koller and Sudan’s Kwesi Appiah are among those vying for Coach of the Year, representing a wide spectrum of football talent across the continent.

With nominees spanning from emerging young players like Morocco’s Bilal El Khannouss and Cameroon’s Carlos Baleba to powerhouse clubs including Al Ahly and Zamalek, the competition is fierce. For the National Team of the Year, fan favorites like Morocco and Nigeria stand alongside rising contenders like Mozambique, making this one of the most unpredictable years yet.
