Generative AI-powered platforms like ChatGPT and Bing AI have become increasingly popular, and there are concerns that they could replace some jobs in the future.

However, some industry leaders like Milind Lakkad, the chief human resources officer of TCS, and Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella believe that AI will create more jobs and improve productivity, not replace human workers.

Lakkad believes that generative AI will be a “co-worker” that will collaborate with human workers and improve their productivity.

He also notes that job definitions will change as a result of AI, but jobs will not be replaced. TCS is already using generative AI tools in some areas, and Lakkad expects more work to happen in these areas in the future.

Nadella also believes that AI will create more jobs and increase wages. He thinks that AI-powered platforms like ChatGPT and Bing AI could create new jobs and provide more satisfaction in current jobs.

It’s worth noting that some companies are already using AI for hiring and worker well-being. Amazon’s senior HR Deepti Varma has stated that the company is using Alexa in some areas of hiring and using AI platforms to check on worker well-being.

Amazon US is also experimenting with “no see hire” to reduce the dependency on recruiters.

Overall, while there are concerns about the impact of AI on jobs, it seems that industry leaders believe that AI will create more jobs and increase productivity, not replace human workers.
