Chaotic Series, Squid Game confirmed for Season 2

Squid Game took the world unawares the moment it landed on Netflix, due to how chaotic it was, now the series has been confirmed for a season 2 by the streaming network.

Netflix officially greenlit the second season of the global hit with a teaser and a statement from the series’ executive producer, Kim Ji-yeon.

“We’re focusing on how to make it even more joyful to the global audience,” He said.

“It took 12 years to bring the first season of Squid Game to life last year. But it took 12 days for Squid Game to become the most popular Netflix series ever.” The series’ creator, Hwang Dong-Hyuk said, in a message thanking the fans’ efforts in making the series popular.

The series began with a chaotic premise that involves a group of Asian men and women engaging in very brutal games that initially appeared silly for monetary gains only for the show to unveil how brutal and chaotic it could become.

It also featured suspense and plot points which somewhat left a cliff hanger for viewers of its first season, to which the producers confirm will be explored in season 2.

“The man in the suit with ddakji might be back,” Hwang teased.

With Kim revealing where the series’ creators are in preparation for a second season.

“We are working on the script right now and making the form of the story,” He revealed.

“I know that a lot of the different fans and audiences have enjoyed the series very much, but really we’re focusing on how to make it even more joyful to the global audience.”

For fans of the now famous streaming series, knowing there is a season 2 to look forward to, is very much a welcomed development for them.

Squid game returns for another epic adventure.
