CCTV Footage captures last moments of Italian-Nigerian Volleyball star Julia Ituma

CCTV footage capturing the last moments of Julia Ituma, an 18-year-old Italian-Nigerian volleyball star, has been released online after she tragically died in Turkey.

Julia Ituma, who played for the Italian team Igor Gorgonzola Novara, fell from a sixth-floor hotel window in Istanbul just hours after her team was eliminated from the Champions League semi-finals.

In the CCTV footage obtained from the hotel, Ituma is seen walking slowly in the hallway while pressing her phone.

She then sits outside her room door for almost an hour in a “pensive and thoughtful” manner before entering her room for the final time, according to authorities.

Ituma, who was hailed as the “next big thing” in volleyball, had been representing her team in their second-leg knockout match against the Turkish side Eczacibasi Dynavit Istanbul.
