Casemiro to take over Bruno Fernandes’ jersey number

New Manchester United signing and former Real Madrid player, Casemiro will reportedly wear the Number 18 jersey that teammate, Bruno Fernandes recently left behind.

It is confirmed that the Brazilian will be at the Old Trafford stand on Monday night to watch the Premier League clash against Liverpool after recently signing for the Red Devils.

The deal which is said to be at about £60 million with Real Madrid, could rise above that if add ons are met.

The Brazilian is set to be unveiled with his official number before the Monday night fixture against United’s arch rivals.

Although the Brazilian may not be able to feature in the game, paper works are being fast tracked to get the 30 year old available for the fixture against Southampton on August 27.

The Number 18 jersey has been won by some United legends, with Paul Scholes being the more popular one who recently don the number before Bruno Fernandes and now, Casemiro.

Prior to coming to Manchester United, Casemiro had donned the No. 14 number at Real Madrid although having won both the No. 38 and No. 16 shirts at certain points in his Santiago Bernabeu days.

Just like Bruno Fernandes did in his earlier season, Manchester United will hope Casemiro picks red hot form upon putting on the red shirt.
