Casemiro, the New Pogba? Graeme Souness rips into Brazilian

Liverpool legend, Graeme Souness is never one to give the politically correct analysis when it comes to big money signings from Manchester United, evident from his occasional beef with former United player, Paul Pogba.

The former Liverpool player and manager has seen a lot of his criticisms usually stretched at the Frenchman during Pogba’s time with Man United, to an extent it became something of a humor in the media and to pundits.

Even though Paul Pogba is no longer at Old Trafford, Graeme Souness isn’t ready to call it quits with his row on Man United’s big money signings, and it seems, Carlos Henrique Casemiro may fall victim of his antics with his arrival at the club.

Speaking at talkSport, the Liverpool legend rips into the Manchester United signing, criticizing the Brazilian as not being that great of a player to begin with.

The former manager wonders how he lasted long at Real Madrid, stressing the fact he had the likes of Benzema and Toni Kroos along with him to shadow his faults.

“He’s not a great player. He has never been a great player,” Souness said.

“I think he was lucky to be in that Real Madrid team. I never look forward to watching Casemiro. Benzema, definitely. The other midfield players, definitely,” he added.

Souness, a Premier League legend, noted that the Brazil international is not even a good passer of the ball, adding that the 30-year-old is not going to help other people play.
