Casandra Ventura takes on Sean 'Diddy' Combs in rape suit

An explosive lawsuit filed in Federal District Court in Manhattan has rocked the entertainment world as Cassie, formerly known as Casandra Ventura, accuses music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs of a decade-long ordeal involving rape, sex trafficking, and repeated physical abuse during their relationship.

The suit unveils shocking allegations against Combs, claiming he exposed Cassie to a lifestyle marked by excessive alcohol and substance abuse.

Cassie alleges that she was coerced into engaging in sexual encounters with multiple male prostitutes while Combs recorded the incidents.

The relationship between Diddy and R&B singer Casandra Ventura spanned ten years before concluding in 2018, with Cassie eventually marrying her personal trainer, Alex Fine.

The lawsuit includes a list of defendants beyond Combs, encompassing Bad Boy Records, Bad Boy Entertainment, Epic Records, and Combs Enterprises.

Cassie revealed her motivation for coming forward, stating,

“After years in silence and darkness, I am finally ready to tell my story, and to speak up on behalf of myself and for the benefit of other women who face violence and abuse in their relationships.”

She emphasized the urgency of her action, coinciding with the nearing expiration of New York’s Adult Survivors Act, as an opportunity to shed light on her traumatic experiences.

Responding to the allegations, Combs’s lawyer, Ben Brafman, vehemently denied the claims, characterizing them as “offensive and outrageous.”

Brafman highlighted previous attempts by Cassie to extract $30 million from Combs, alleging a threat to write a damaging book about their relationship. He dismissed her lawsuit as an act of “blatant blackmail.”

Douglas Wigdor, Cassie’s lawyer, disclosed prior discussions between the parties before the lawsuit’s filing.

He revealed that despite Combs’s offer of a significant sum to silence Cassie, she rejected his efforts. Wigdor portrayed the lawsuit as an outcome of Cassie’s refusal to be silenced and her pursuit of justice against the alleged abuse.

The legal battle between Casandra Ventura and Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs promises to unfold as a contentious and high-profile case, casting a shadow over the reputation of the renowned music figure.
