Carragher slams Chelsea star’s performance against Luton Town
Chelsea may have rail-roaded Luton Town in their third premier league of the season, but former Liverpool defender, Jamie Carragher has slammed a specific Chelsea player over their performance in the game.
The Liverpool legend comes at odds with Ben Chilwell’s error in attack against Luton Town in the 3-0 win at Stamford Bridge which could have added to the Blues’ advantage.
Jamie Carragher in his analysis of the game, says he finds it difficult to understand why Chilwell couldn’t take a goal scoring chance to put his team further ahead in the game
A brace from Raheem Sterling and a goal from Nicolas Jackson was enough to ensure Chelsea’s triumph against newly promoted Luton Town, but Jamie Carragher has this to say on the Chelsea star;
“I can’t believe what I have just seen,” Carragher said on Sky Sports.
“We had just been talking about Ben Chilwell’s role in an attacking sense and it looked like he was going to make me eat my words. But that was just bizarre. He drives through the middle and he is in the centre of the goal, unmarked. Unbelievable!
“It is awful. It really is. Such poor decision making. Maybe he was reluctant to use his right foot, or lost his bearings a little? Just trying to find excuses as to why he would not shoot there.”
