Cardi B, Kendrick and DJ Khaled Dominate BET 2017 Hip-Hop Award Nominations

Published

The annual BET Hip-Hop Awards ceremony is set to take place in Miami, on October 10th this year and some of the bigger nominations have been announced already.  Kendrick Lamar, DJ Khaled and Cardi B top the list of nominees with nine nominations apiece.

The first two top nominees were somewhat expected; but the latter however, took the Hip hop community by storm with the release of her breakout hit “Bodak Yellow”

Jay-Z & Chance The Rapper came through with five, setting them up in a battle for lyricist of the year. Jay also managed to land a nomination for album of the year with 4:4 4, putting him head-to-head against both Migos and Future, who have scored four nominations apiece.
