Super talented Nigerian songwriter and recording artiste, Aṣa is based in France so she may feel pretty safe in her home from any lurking predator. This also means its Asa who might be chasing something, her fourth studio ALBUM?

For those of you who follow the songstress on her social media accounts, you can see all the pointers. On her Instagram, she has been posting photos of her in the studio. On her instastory, she has been posting a couple of mute videos of her recording. From the images, you can see obviously that Asa is in her happy place, physically and mentally. The place that gave birth to the evergreen classics like ‘Jailer, Bibanke, Be My Man, Bimpe, Dead Again, Eyo’ and a host of other great singles from her previous 3 albums.

Asa, an artiste in a league of her own, with a healthy and heavy catalogue off her 3 albums, ‘Aṣa (Asha)’, ‘Beautiful Imperfection’ and ‘Bed Of Stone’, is always guaranteed to give you a night of proper concert experience as she has done and continues to do, touring numerous countries in Europe and also having sold out concerts in Lagos, Nigeria. However, her last Album, “Bed of Stone” was released in 2014. Its been four years now so Asa needs to update that catalogue as her fans will expecting to hear something new and fresh when next she goes on tour.

Expectations from the album might differ across board but something that will speak volume will be if we finally get that Asa/Brymo collaboration. Brymo has never hidden his desire to do a record with Asa and even if that doesn’t happen, we hope Asa can be a little liberal and collaborate with a few young Nigerian artistes who are coming up in her genre to help strengthen it and give it more push and presence in the mainstream.

Asa may do a Beyonce on us and drop this album surprisingly or she may well announce a release date. But one thing that is certain that one the final day that we shall get to hear that new Asa record, the internet will break.
