Burna Boy’s New Album “I Told Them”- 2023
Popular Nigerian singer, and Grammy-Awards-Winning artist, Burna Boy, announced I Told Them, his seventh studio album.
I Told Them comes after his summer 2022 album Love Damini, which produced viral and favourite song of the year, “Last Last.”
During an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe on Tuesday, August 22, Burna Boy spoke of his album, saying;
“This is a side of the album that people don’t really get to see because I don’t really want anyone to see,”
Burna exclaimed in wonder after earning his first golden gramophone at the 2021 Grammys for his superb Twice as Tall, “Africa is in the house, man.”
In 2022, he performed at New York’s illustrious Madison Square Garden, where he shared important information with the packed house.

It is claimed that track 10’s “City Boys” sampled none other than Jeremiah’s smash “Birthday Sex.”
A sample from the song that echoed the R&B slow jam was included in a snippet of it that Burna Boy released to his social media accounts.

Burna Boy has gone all out for his upcoming release, as evidenced by the impressive lineup of featured artists.
Byron Messia, Dave, Seyi Vibez, 21 Savage, and Dave are all set to make appearances. Burna Boy’s previous album also featured collaborations with Khalid, J Balvin, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Ed Sheeran, and other notable artists.
Fans are eagerly anticipating more joint efforts between Burna Boy and J Hus.
Does Burna Boy intend to go on tour?
Despite having recently finished touring in support of his last album, “Love, Damini,” there are no plans to promote “I Told Them…” at this time.
With an audience of more than 40,000 admirers in New York, the singer became the first African artist in history to sell out a stadium in the nation.
He was the opening act at London Stadium in June.
