Burna Boy sets new Spotify Record for opening day streams with “Higher”

Topnaija.ng reports that Nigerian music sensation Burna Boy’s latest single, “Higher,” has achieved a remarkable feat. The song has broken the record for the highest opening day streams for a solo single on Spotify Nigeria.

On its first full day of release, “Higher” garnered an impressive 530,792 streams on Spotify Nigeria. This surpasses the previous opening day record set by Wizkid’s “Diamond,” which tallied 518,000 streams.

Burna Boy’s consistent success positions him as a global superstar, pushing boundaries for African artists. Notably, he previously set an African record with his 2023 Grammy-nominated single, “City Boy.”
