Award-winning singer, Burna Boy has have celebrated another achievement of being the first African musician to reach over 200 million streams on Boomplay.

On Monday, February 14, worldwide music streaming platform, Boomplay made the announcement on its official social media account.

“Odogwu you bad, e file fun Burna Boy as he poses with the first-ever duo-golden club plaque for hitting 200,000,000 streams on Boomplay!” Boomplay wrote.

Boomplay’s Head of Artist and Media Relations, Tosin Sorinola, stated that such feat by the ‘Odogwu’ crooner shows that his fans in Africa are fast catching up to the digitization of music and streaming.
