Burna Boy: IGP to investigate shooting
The Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba has reportedly ordered a thorough investigation on Nigerian singer, Burna Boy‘s escort.
He directed the Lagos state Commissioner of Police, CSP Abiodun Alabi, following the alleged shooting incident involving the escorts.
The singer was reported to have visited a club in Lagos with five of his security team when four of them kept guard outside the club.
One of them who was identified as Inspector Ibrahim had reportedly clinched to the Grammys winner when conflict arose.
Burna Boy allegedly approached a married woman and that angered her husband causing an argument.
Gunshots were fired leading to the injury of two persons.
A statement released by the spokesperson of the state police command, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi revealed that a full-scale investigation as commenced.

”Police personnel alleged and identified in the shooting incident at Club Cubana in Victoria Island, Lagos on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, have been taken into custody and are being investigated for their involvement in the incident.
The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba NPM, psc(+), fdc, who describes the circumstances surrounding the incident as unbelievable, has however condemned, in the strongest terms, the unfortunate incident.
Consequently, the IGP has directed the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Abiodun Alabi, to carry out a thorough investigation into the matter and forward his report as urgent as possible for further action.”
