Buhari, security chiefs meet after robbery attempt in Aso Rock [PHOTOS]

President Muhammadu Buhari and security chiefs of Nigeria are presently meeting at the State House, Abuja.

The meeting is coming more than 24 hours after armed robbers tried to attack the residence of the Chief of Staff to President Buhari, Ibrahim Gambari, on Monday.

The Presidency declared the meeting on social media, but did not give details of its plan.

Though, the meeting is likely to evaluate the present security state in the nation.

Prior to the meeting, there had been past security meetings on Friday, April 30, and Monday, May 4.

The meeting, which began at 10 am, is holding at the Conference Hall of the Office of the First Lady.

The Presidency wrote, “Security Meeting ongoing, at the State House. President @MBuhari presiding, Vice President, SGF, NSA, Ministers, Service Chiefs, IGP, Intelligence Chiefs in attendance. #AsoVillaToday #SecuringNigeria.”

Among others at the meeting are the Vice-President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo; the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha; the Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari; and the National Security Adviser, Major-General Babagana Monguno.

Furthermore, attending the meeting include the Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami; Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyema; Minister of Defense, Major-General Bashir Salihi Magashi (Retd.) and Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.
