President Muhammadu Buhari, on Friday, met with the President of Chad’s Transitional Military Council, General Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno.

The meeting took place at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Deby’s visit to Nigeria is focused on officially introducing himself to Buhari, who is regarded as one of the most influential leaders in the West African sub-region and Africa at large.
Other issues likely to be deliberated upon at the meeting are the danger of terrorism and arms proliferation threatening the peace and security of the sub-region.
