Buhari hosts Tinubu in private Aso Rock meeting

Earlier today, Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari met with the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, in Aso Rock.

 

The meeting, which is happening a day after his private meeting with Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, was held behind closed doors. After the meeting, Tinubu said he visited to thank the president for checking on him in London after having knee surgery.

“I came to thank President Muhammadu Buhari for visiting me in London when I had knee surgery. He demonstrated empathy. He is an exceptional leader,” he said.

Buhari, on Thursday, August 13, visited the Tinubu, in London, United Kingdom. Then, Tinubu was seen leaning on a walking stick as he posed for a shot with the President in photos shared on Facebook by a presidential aide, Bashir Ahmad.

Tinubu has been rumoured to nurse presidential ambition in 2023.

Meanwhile, Hamisu Chidari, Speaker of Kano state House of Assembly, has declared his unflinching support for the Tinubu Support Organization (TSO).

Chief Franklin Ebere-Njoku, Special Assistant to Aminu Suleiman, Director General, Tinubu Support Organization (TSO), said this in a statement released to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday in Abuja.

Suleiman prayed God to continue to protect and strengthen Tinubu for greater services for the Advancement of the country.

“We believe in your political ideologies and shall continue to support your course through the Tinubu support Organization (TSO),

“The Speaker is appointed the North West Coordinator in recognition of his dedication,” he said.
