Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari has received the Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, at the State House in Abuja earlier today.
This was disclosed by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina who shared photos from the meeting on social media.
“President Buhari receives Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State in State House on 13th Oct 2021,” Adesina captioned photos.
The meeting is coming less than a week after Obaseki swore in Justice Joe Acha as the new Chief Judge of Edo.
Justice Acha has been acting in that capacity for more than four months.
Meanwhile, the Senate has passed for second reading the 2022 Appropriation Bill and adjourned plenary till November 9 for budget defence.
The President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, announced the adjournment during plenary.
He referred the Appropriation Bill to the Committee on Appropriation, directing them to report back in four weeks.
The development followed the conclusion of the general principles of the budget, with each senator baring their minds on the contents of the fiscal document.
