Buhari hosts Nigerien president, Bazoum, in Abuja today [VIDEO]
President Muhammadu Buhari is currently hosting Nigerien President Mohammed Bazoum on a State visit in Abuja.
The personal assistant to President Buhari on Digital and New Media, Bashir Ahmed, disclosed that the Nigerien President is on a State Visit via his Twitter account on Thursday afternoon.
Uploading a video of Bazoum’s arrival, Ahmed captioned it with “The Nigerien President, Mohammed Bazoum arrives the State House for a State Visit this afternoon”.
Ahmed had earlier stated that “President Muhammadu Buhari is hosting his Nigerien counterpart, President Mohammed Bazoum, to a State Visit this afternoon. The two leaders are expected to deliberate on how best to tackle challenges of security and strategic stability affecting the sub-region and the globe”.
In a statement titled ‘President Buhari hosts Bazoum, his Nigerien counterpart in Abuja Thursday’ and released late on Wednesday, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, had also disclosed the Bazoum’s visit to Nigeria.

He said, “While President Bazoum’s visit is expected to last for a few hours, the neighboring leader will be received with full military honours, including a 21-Gun Salute”.
