President Muhammadu Buhari is presently hosting the Prime Minister of the Libyan Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.Dbeibeh and members of his retinue arrived at the forecourt of the Presidential Villa at 10am and were received by President Buhari alongside members of his cabinet, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffery Onyeama.
The two leaders are having bilateral deliberations that intend to profit and improve the economies of both nations.
The Libyan leader would also use the opportunity of the meeting with the Nigerian leader to commiserate with him and the people of Nigeria over the demise of the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Ibrahim Attahiru and ten other military officers last Friday.
Dbeibeh had on May 25 participated in the Extraordinary Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Lake Chad Basin Commission (LCBC) which took place at Transcorp Hilton, Abuja.
