Former President Buhari Eid-El-Kabir’s message urges Nigerians to focus on farming, population control

Former President Muhammadu Buhari Eid-El-Kabir‘s message has called on Nigerians to continue growing their food and to address the nation’s population growth.
Speaking to journalists after participating in the Kofor Arewa Eid prayer in Katsina on Sunday, Buhari expressed satisfaction with the resurgence of farming among Nigerians but voiced deep concern over the unchecked rise in population, which he believes requires immediate attention.
Buhari Eid-El-Kabir’s message emphasized the need for greater discussion and awareness about population growth and the importance of investing more in education and health.
“The need for greater discussion and awareness about this problem, as well as a need to invest more in education and health, is crucial,” he stated.
He also urged Nigerians to focus on local food production.
“Let us grow our food. We have shown that we can do it. This is not the time to relent when we see prices going up. Let us buy what is produced in the country,” he said.
Buhari highlighted the efforts of successive governments in laying the foundation for a prosperous and stable country. He encouraged the youth to play an active role in nation-building.
“The foundation of a prosperous and stable country has been laid by successive governments, and I encourage our youth, in particular, to continue to play an active role in various nation-building efforts,” he added.
