Buhari approves establishment of Federal Polytechnic in Oyo State
The Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari has approved to establish Federal Polytechnic in Ayede, Ogo-oluwa Local Government Area of Oyo State.
This was revealed in a letter addressed to Governor Seyi Makinde, signed by the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Education, Arc. Sonny S. T. Echono, dated 29th January, 2021.
According to the letter, President Buhari approved a take-off grant of N2 billion for the new Polytechnic from the funding of TETFund for the provision of core facilities for immediate take-off.
The letter also states that information had been duly conveyed to TETFund for implementation.
According to Echono, academic activities should commence in October, 2021.
