Bruno Fernandes is Killing Manchester United—Ex-Liverpool star

Bruno Fernandes isn’t quite the popular figure with former Liverpool star, Dietmar Hamann as the German labels the Portuguese as Manchester United’s biggest problem.

The former Red considers the former Sporting Lisbon player as being a game killer for the Old Trafford club rather than be a key solution to the team.

According to Didi Hamann, the player does nothing but waive his hands every time in frustration.

His analysis comes from the fact the Red Devils despite their fine pre-season form started the new season right back where they left it last season; in defeat.

New coach, Erik ten Hag who was brought in to solve the issue being faced by the team and usher in the glory days looks more confused than he ever was managing Ajax.

According to Hamann, he believes Cristiano Ronaldo remains an influential factor in the team’s progress moving forward and is very much the big game player.

Although, he feels Ronaldo’s compatriot, Bruno Fernandes is one for concern for Erik ten Hag.

“For me, the biggest problem for Ten Hag is Bruno Fernandes. I can’t remember the last time I saw him do something other than wave his hands around in frustration.

“You can’t have players doing that in games against Liverpool. Everyone has to put a full shift in,” Didi Hamann said.

A fixture like the North-West derby is one that the Old Trafford side could hope to make a statement though, and for Bruno Fernandes, it proves a chance to shut his critics up.

Nothing suggests he or Manchester United cannot stun Liverpool to make a comeback, and for some reasons, this game proves to be the one, especially with all eyes on United.
