BREAKING: West Ham abandons negotiations for Harry Maguire

London club, West Ham has officially abandoned discussions for a Harry Maguire move from Old Trafford to the London Stadium.

This is in response to Manchester United accepting to keep hold of the centre back with 3 days left in the summer transfer window.

West Ham United following the exit of Declan Rice from the club, had initiated contact with Manchester United for the services of Harry Maguire earlier in July in an attempt to tempt the England international from the Red Devils this summer over frustrations of lack of game time under new manager, Erik ten Hag.

However, along conversations for a €30million fee agreed with the club, negotiations broke off between West Ham and Harry Maguire over personal terms.

The London side were reported to have cooled off talks for the player within that time frame, with it now being confirmed that the deal has officially collapsed after Manchester United rejected to loan or sell Harry Maguire within a short frame to the closing of the summer window.

The Red Devils fanbase had expressed excitement over the potential exit of the former Man United captain but now seem to be gearing to welcome the centre back into the club’s rank.
