At least 10 people have instantly died in a fatal crash near Bara town in Alkaleri Local Government Area of Bauchi State, TopNaija reports.

Bauchi is a city in northeast Nigeria, the capital of Bauchi State.

Though details of the incident are still sketchy, our correspondent learnt that the crash happened about 7.00pm on Sunday.

The lone crash reportedly occurred when the driver of a bus which was heading to Gombe State from Kaduna State lost control and veered off into the bush.

The tyre of the bus was said to have pulled out before it somersaulted.

When contacted, the Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, Bauchi State, Yusuf Abdullahi, confirmed the crash to journalists.

He, however, said that he could not give full details of the crash because “our men are currently at the scene of the crash carrying out a rescue operation.”

Abdullahi added, “As soon as the rescue operation is over and I have full details of the crash, I’ll furnish you with it.”
