BREAKING: Obasa storms Lagos Assembly attempts forceful entry into speaker Meranda’s office

The crisis rocking the Lagos State House of Assembly on Thursday took a turn for the worse as ousted Speaker, Mudashiru Obasa, stormed the Assembly Complex and began vandalizing what is suspected to be the office of the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Mojisola Meranda.
Our reporter on the ground reported that Obasa arrived at the premises with police officers and headed straight for the legislative chambers.
Minutes later, there were sounds of splintering wood in what appeared to be a forceful attempt to gain entry into the Speaker’s office.
Obasa was removed on January 13 by 32 lawmakers over allegations of gross abuse of power, financial misconduct, and other offences.
Following his removal, the lawmakers voted for Meranda as Speaker of the House.
