BREAKING: Nollywood actor, Mr. Ibu is dead

Well known Nigerian comic actor and Nollywood veteran, John Okafor populaarly known as Mr. Ibu has been confirmed dead on Saturday.
The actor reportedly passed away at Evercare Hospital in Lagos State after a protracted battle with illness.
TopNaija recalls that the 62-year old had battled health issues that led to the amputation of his two legs.
He was diagnosed with diseased blood vessels.
His family had solicited funds from Nigerians, saying the actor “had constant clotting of the blood in his leg [diseased blood vessels] and other health challenges posing a risk to his life, therefore the need for the amputation.”
Emeka Rollas, National President, Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), confirmed his death on his instagram page on Saturday.
Rollas said: “Sad Day for Actors Guild of Nigeria. Kate Henshaw lost her mother earlier today and Mr Ibu suffered cardiac arrest according to his manager of 24 years, Mr Don Single Nwuzor.
“I announce with deep sense of grief that Mr Ibu didn’t make it. May his soul rest in peace.”
The actor is trending on X, with many fans mourning his demise.
