Breaking News: Fire outbreak at Dangote refinery [VIDEOS]
A fire has broken out at the Dangote Refinery in Lekki, Lagos. According to reports, emergency personnel are currently on-site working to extinguish the blaze.
This afternoon, a portion of the Dangote Refinery was engulfed in flames, but the fire has since been successfully put out.
Earlier this month, Dangote spoke about cabals who are against Africa’s ability to refine crude. In Nigeria, government cabals using subsidy payments as a conduit to steal funds are against functional refineries in the country.
The Dangote Group President, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, had also announced on Wednesday that the storage capacity of his refinery will be increased by 600 million litres.
This expansion will bring the total storage capacity to 5.3 billion litres, up from the current 4.78 billion litres.
