Another government building in Imo State has been demolished by unidentified gunmen wreaking havoc in the country’s southeast of Imo State.

Some vital documents were reportedly destroyed when the attackers set fire to the structure housing the high court and magistrates’ court in Orlu, Imo State.

According to the news, the incident occurred just one week after the daring gunmen invaded the INEC headquarters in Owerri, Imo state’s capital, according to the report.

Barnabas Munonye, the Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association’s Orlu branch, who confirmed the occurrence, called it a very regrettable development.

He said that the association’s administrative secretary had brought the matter to his knowledge early on Saturday.

The attack by the gunmen was also confirmed by CSP Mike Abattam, the Imo State Police Public Relations Officer.

Police had, according to the PPRO, opened an investigation into the event.
