BREAKING: Gunmen attack Jonathan’s home in Otuoke

Armed gunmen have attacked a security post within the country home of former President Goodluck Jonathan at Otuoke, Ogbia local government area of Bayelsa state.

Confirming the attack, a source in the former president’s home revealed that the security post is located just 100 metres to the house of Jonathan.

He said the gunmen made an attempt to snatch a gunboat around the area which is near a creek.

He said soldiers stationed around the residence of the former president repelled the intruders.

It could not be immediately confirmed if Jonathan or any member of his family was hurt in the armed invasion.

But he was said to have escaped unhurt in the attack, which some community persons are suspecting was “an assassination attempt” on the former president
