BREAKING: ex-pension director Yakubu, sentenced to six years imprisonment
The Supreme Court of Nigeria, has sentenced former Director of Pensions, John Yakubu, to six years imprisonment.
This ruling was decided on Wednesday in Abuja, following the 2018 decision of the Court of Appeal.
The court in addition, ordered that he makes a refund of N22.9bn to the Federal Government.
Yakubu’s sentence had been decided by the Abuja Court of Appeal in 2018 over allegations made by the Federal Government that he misappropriated N22.9bn Police Pension Fund.
