BREAKING! Amazon Fires Over 100 Employees

Published

on

Amazon has sent out an email to impacted employees informing them of the layoff of over 100 people in departments such as Prime gaming, game Growth, and the company’s San Diego studio.

The layoffs are part of a larger plan to cut 9,000 jobs in total, which the company announced last month.

Christoph Hartmann, Amazon’s Games VP, said that the decision was made after evaluating current projects against long-term goals.

The company has already laid off 18,000 employees earlier this year and is streamlining headcounts to save costs and survive during uncertain times.

The impacted employees will receive severance pay, health insurance benefits, outplacement services, and paid time to conduct their job search.

The layoff process is expected to be completed by the end of this month.
