BREAKING: 60 lawmakers seek change from Presidential to parliamentary system

Around 60 members of the Federal House of Representatives are currently pushing for amendments to the 1999 Constitution in order to transition from the current presidential system to a parliamentary system of government.

A group of lawmakers, led by Wale Raji, who represents Lagos State under the All Progressives Congress, have highlighted several reasons for advocating a return to the parliamentary system. These include the importance of reducing the cost of government and fostering robust policy debates.
