Bill Gates commends London-Lagos charity rider after completion of 40 days trip
Microsoft Founder, Bill Gates has applauded Nigerian charity rider, Kunle Adeyanju who completed his charity ride from London to Lagos on Sunday, May 29.
Recall that Adeyanju embarked on a cross-country charity ride from London, United Kingdom on April 19th, heading to Lagos Nigeria to raise awareness to end polio.
The journey with a power bike was originally supposed to last for 25 days, but he eventually arrived in Lagos to a hero’s welcome on May 29, 2022, after 40 days.
After journeying through European and African countries, Kunle’s arrival in Lagos was a historic moment that caught the attention of the billionaire businessman, Bill Gates.
Bill Gates shared an article on the biker’s adventurous ride and hailed him by describing his feat as ”incredible”.

On his part, Kunle thanked the business magnate for his encouraging words and revealed that Gate’s works geared towards eradicating polio inspired him.
He wrote; ”Thank you @BillGates for the kind words, & a big thank you also for your tremendous support to Rotary Foundation towards eradication of Polio & solving other world problems. Your good works birthed the inspiration for #LondonToLagos”
