Behold the female doctor who kept Hilda Baci going for over 100 hours

In March 2023, Hilda made an announcement regarding her intention to attempt the record for the longest cooking marathon, which was previously held by Lata Tondon, lasting for 87 hours and 45 minutes in 2019.
On May 11, 2023, Hilda commenced her record attempt titled “Cook-a-thon.” After a dedicated effort, she successfully broke the record on May 15.
Precisely at 7:45 am on Monday, May 15, 2023, Hilda surpassed the previous record holder by cooking for a remarkable 87 hours and 50 minutes, exceeding the previous record by 5 minutes. The following day, on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, a spokesperson from Guinness World Records issued an official statement on their website, stating, “We are aware of the record attempt and eagerly anticipate receiving the evidence for our Records Management Team to review before we can confirm the record as official.”
Initially aiming for a cooking marathon of 96 hours, Hilda later extended her goal to a remarkable 100 hours. Her determination and perseverance drove her to set a new record for the longest cooking marathon.
Prominent figures in Nigeria, such as Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu; Lead Pastor of Harvester International, Bolaji Idowu; and renowned Nigerian singers Tiwa Savage, Tim Godfrey, and Ice Prince, visited Hilda during her eventful Cook-a-thon. Additionally, Vice President of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, took the time to encourage Hilda during her cooking marathon.
Hilda garnered tremendous support from her Nigerian fan base, with many flocking to the venue of the cooking competition, while others continued to create buzz around her name on various social media platforms.
