Beating Man City should be the goal now — Ian Wright
Arsenal legend Ian Wright has highlighted four Premier League matches that he believes will determine if the Gunners can win the title this season. Speaking on the Kelly & Wrighty show, Wright said the games against Manchester City, Chelsea, Newcastle and Brighton will be crucial.
Wright believes that these games will prove to be a test for Arsenal and will be the key to their chances of winning the Premier League title this season. He added that playing against Manchester City will be tough, but he is also looking at the Chelsea, Newcastle, and Brighton games as vital fixtures.
“Arsenal have got to get through this period if they want to win the title – but it’s not going to be easy. Playing Man City will be really tough and they will cause problems, but I’m also looking at the Chelsea, Newcastle and Brighton games. Those are the games for me,” said Wright.
Arsenal are currently in good form, having drawn 2-2 with Liverpool last weekend, which cut their advantage over City to six points. However, Pep Guardiola’s men have a game in hand on the Gunners, which could give them an advantage in the title race.
The Gunners have been impressive under manager Mikel Arteta this season, and their recent form has put them in contention for the title. They have won seven of their last nine league games, with their only defeat coming against Manchester United.
Arsenal’s next game is against City on Saturday, and it will be a test of their title credentials. They will be hoping to maintain their form and secure a victory against Guardiola’s side, which will help them in their pursuit of the Premier League trophy.
