Bayern Munich have zero interest in Ronaldo

Bayern Munich have zero interests in Cristiano Ronaldo, the club hierarchy declares.

It probably will come as a surprise if football lovers were told 7 years back that there will come a time when a top European side will tell the world they have no interest in signing Cristiano Ronaldo.

Flash forward to June 2022, and it’s the very headline on sports media platforms reporting on the speculations that Portuguese star, Ronaldo could trade Old Trafford for the Allianz Arena.

The confirmation comes courtesy of the Bayern Munich director, Hasan Salihamidzic who responded to the speculated links of Cristiano moving to the German champions.

To the director, the claims that the Bundesliga club will want to capitalize on the 37-year-old’s frustration in Manchester United to lure him to Germany is nothing but false.

“Cristiano Ronaldo is a top player with an outstanding career. However, stories on a potential deal with Bayern are not true,” he said of the player while speaking to Sky Germany.

“These rumors have no truth.” Salihamidzic then added.

Contrary to Manchester United’s poor season, CR7 had quite the productive season as he scored 24 goals in 38 appearances as United finished sixth in the Premier League last season.

Now it’s reported that the Portuguese is said to be frustrated with the Red Devils’ lack of activity in the transfer market this summer.

The former Juventus star has had to watch Manchester United rivals, Manchester City, Liverpool, and even Arsenal and Tottenham bring in new reinforcements to their squad while United watch along.

With the player not ready to spend another trophy-less season at Old Trafford, the 5 time Ballon d’or winner will continue seeing himself linked with various clubs in Europe.

It remains to be seen if any club will formally admit to having any interest in the Portuguese with the links that continue being thrown at them.
