Barcelona will on Wednesday night go into the second leg of their UEFA Champions League round of 16 clash against Chelsea with 1-1, having drawn the first leg at Stamford Bridge.

Valverde’s men will hope to get a win against the Blues at the Camp Nou so as to qualify for the quarter final of the competition.

Valverde has some notable absentees for the match with injuries to right back Nelson Semedo, Iniesta and Denis Suarez.

Philippe Coutinho isn’t eligible to play in the Champions League for the Catalan club.

Striker Luis Suarez will miss out on the match due to yellow card suspension.

The Blaugrana extended their 34 matches unbeaten streak in the La Liga to 35 by beating Malaga 2-0 on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Antonio Conte’s Chelsea is failing to retain their title as the EPL champions and with back to back defeats against their Manchester rivals in the league, came back strong to beat Crystal Palace 2-1 on Saturday.

Conte’s men are 4 points behind the top four in the English topflight log with 56 points from 30 games.

Conte has his whole squad for the encounter except for Ross Barkley, who is not fit to play against the Spanish giants.

David Luiz is still doubtful and having missed most of the season due to injury and with the rise of Christensen, Luiz will certainly not feature in the match.

Chelsea got through on 3-2 aggregate score last time they faced against Barcelona in the knock out stages.
