Barcelona Manager, Xavi On Players He Eyes For His Team

One thing about being a football manager is having the eye for talent, and for former Barcelona midfield maestro and current manager, Xavi Hernandez, he has just the eye for it.

The three players that Barcelona manager Xavi Hernández would like to coach are Lionel Messi, Neymar, and Kylian Mbappe of Paris Saint-Germain.

When asked if he wanted Messi to come back to Barcelona after his deal with PSG expires in the summer of 2023, Xavi responded in the affirmative.

The Argentine captain will be welcomed back to Camp Nou, where he spent 18 years prior to going to PSG, the Spaniard added.

Messi and Xavi once shared a Barcelona team as teammates.

Speaking to MD, Xavi said:

“If he [Messi] wants (to come back to Barcelona), for sure he can return. Why would I not want him to come? For me, he is still the best football player in the world.”

He added that:

“I would like to train any of the great players. For example, in France, there is Mbappe, Neymar and Messi. I would very much like to coach these types of footballers.”
