Barcelona knocks out PSG 6-1, makes Champions League

Barcelona left us all stunned after overturning a 4-0 first leg deficit to beat PSG 6-1 in a Champions League last 16 second leg match at the Nou Camp to qualify for the quarterfinal with a 6-5 aggregate win.

Needing to win by a five-goal margin to qualify, Luis Suarez headed Barca in front after three minutes while a Layvin Kurzawa own goal made it 2-0 after 40 minutes.

All of Barcelona began to really believe in the impossible after Lionel Messi scored a penalty early in the second half to make scores 3-0 on the night.

That belief was dented in the 62nd minute with Edinson Cavani scoring what should have been a crucial away goal for PSG.

With two minutes left in normal time, the most unbelievable comeback in European club football history started to take shape as Neymar made it 4-1 with a free-kick.

The Brazilian star then coolly slotted in a 90th minute penalty to make it 5-1 before a stretching Sergi Roberto guided the ball past PSG keeper Kevin Trapp in the fifth minute of additional time to make it 6-1 and send the entire stadium into a frenzy as Barca booked their place in the quarterfinals.

Elsewhere on Wednesday night, Gabon striker Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang scored a hattrick to help Borussia Dortmund come back from a 1-0 first leg deficit and win 4-0 in the second leg.

With the 4-1 aggregate win, Dortmund join Barcelona in the last eight, a day after Real Madrid and Bayern Munich booked their places.

The Champions League last 16 round will conclude next week when four more teams will complete the quarterfinal line up.
