Banky W wins in Lagos primaries
Nigerian actor and singer, Olubankole Wellington aka Banky W, has been declared winner in the PDP primaries on Monday, May 23.
Banky W is now the PDP candidate to run for the Eti-Osa constituency House of Representatives in the 2023 general elections.
The Wedding Party star won polling 28 out of 31 votes cast by delegates at the primaries.
Speaking to pressmen, Banky W said, “I am overwhelmed by the support of my constituency, the people, the ward chairmen, the leaders and the chieftains of the party.
“I feel the support even from the grassroot, honestly, I can’t be more happy than I am now.
“The real work begins now, the primaries is just the start and thankfully, we have the grace of God with us; we move.”
