"Banky W played a role in my demise" -- Samklef

The cancel culture has always been around the Nigerian music scene, and for Samklef, Banky W played a part in throwing him into its wind.

Veteran Nigerian music artiste and record producer, Samuel Oguachuba also known under his alias, Samklef has pointed fingers at iconic RnB artiste turned evangelist, Banky W for playing a part in his demise from the music industry.

According to Samklef, the Nollywood actor cum musician, spearheaded a cancel culture against him in 2012 that resulted in his exit from the music scene.

Samklef‘s accusations comes in response to Naira Marley’s canceling following the death of Mohbad that has created a lot of controversies in the media.

Speaking on the trial facing the Marlian record producer, the veteran musician alleged that Banky W was only keeping quiet on the Mohbad controversy because he too bullied his former signees while being EME boss.

Taking to his Twitter account on Tuesday, Samklef posted;

“Banky W, the individual who initiated my personal cancel culture in 2012 with one of his friends in Soundcity…He is now a pastor lol.

“Fellow artists, it’s time to share your genuine experiences! Don’t hesitate! The reason many of them remain quiet about this matter is that they are aware of their own involvement. They were not just violent like Naira Marley!”

The record producer however maintains that all is forgiven between him and the RnB veteran.

“I have forgiven but I will still tell my story so that other people can learn.”
